Labelling and marking products and packaging directly on the production line

In industry, trade and shipping, there is practically always a need for labelling and marking of products, packaging or also, for example, transport containers and pallets. Many types of packaging can of course be "pre-labelled", for example product packaging or shipping cartons. Manufacturers always offer such services, but of course charge extra for them. It becomes more problematic where dynamic data is required that cannot be easily prepared, such as batch numbers, serial information or expiry dates. Here, a dynamic labelling solution is required directly at the production line.

Stationary labelling systems today are usually inkjet-based, i.e. they work with the proven inkjet technology. This enables maximum flexibility and quality at manageable costs. Due to contactless printing, very high processing speeds can also be achieved. 50-60 metres per minute can be processed in this way.

Stationary marking systems or even flexibly usable hand printers are now available in unprecedented abundance thanks to standardised Hewlett Packard TIJ technology. The combined TIJ printhead-ink cartridges allow an ever increasing miniaturisation of industrial marking systems down to the smallest, portable models.
