Besides printing on cardboard and paperboard, the marking of all kinds of plastic is certainly the most common application of marking technology in industry. Plastic bottles, foils, blister packs or hard plastics have to be labelled with further dynamic information nowadays. Wherever stickers are not possible or do not make sense, direct printing using TIJ systems is now the most economical and efficient way to do this.
TIJ systems work according to the proven inkjet principle, in which the ink is "thrown" onto the substrate without contact. Direct smearing or damage to the surface to be printed can thus be ruled out. The problems of dried ink or clogged nozzles, familiar from home use, are negligible in regular, industrial use.
Classically, printing on plastic is done directly on the production line with permanently installed devices. But of course there are also many conceivable applications where portable solutions make more sense - such as the labelling of wrapping foils around transport pallets.
The RED Jet brand therefore offers a wide range of marking systems for printing on plastic for a wide variety of requirements.
With the RED TIJ, up to 2 print heads can independently perform combined
printing tasks in parallel or on one production line.
The products of the RED TIJ series can be equipped with 1/2" or 1" TIJ cartridges.
